WELCOME

The RSCM is increasingly focused on the future. We urgently need to address, both at scale and with speed, the lack of children involved in church music within schools and churches. These children are the congregations, choirs and music groups of tomorrow. That’s why this year’s Annual Appeal is titled ‘Enabling Tomorrow’s Voices’. We have numerous plans in development to turn this vision into reality.

As you continue reading, you’ll see that one of our key resources to support children, Hymnpact!, is growing and evolving. But this is just the beginning. With your support, we can continue to address the lack of children involved in church music. Click here to find out more.

Thank you for journeying with us.

A HISTORY OF SACRED
MUSIC BY WOMEN

Thursday, 17 October, 10am to 1pm (online)

Music has always been a key part of church worship, yet most of the composers we historically associate with its development are male. However, women of faith have composed music throughout the ages, just as they have always sung and played from the earliest times. Join the Revd Anna Macham, Canon Precentor of Salisbury Cathedral, for a session exploring how women have composed sacred music across different periods of history and the impact this had on their lives and work.

Special Offer for RSCM Members.
