WELCOME

Church music is built on a foundation of service – often selfless and always impactful. This service takes many forms, from local innovation to significant international contributions.

If you know someone who deserves recognition for the difference they make, why not nominate them for one of our Honorary Awards? Have a look at the criteria and find the nomination form here. Nominations for 2025 close on 1 December.

To everyone involved in church music, in any style or setting, please accept my heartfelt thanks on behalf of the RSCM.

Scroll down for more news and updates – there is, as always, much to share!

Best regards,

EXPANDING THE
EXAMINER POOL

The RSCM Voice for Life chorister awards scheme provides opportunities for singers of all ages to be recognized at Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels. These awards celebrate not only their singing ability but also their liturgical knowledge and their mastery of technical musical skills and understanding.

With the number of candidates increasing significantly since Covid, we are seeking to expand our pool of examiners. Ideal candidates will be accomplished musicians with excellent keyboard skills, experience in singing and training choirs, and a calm, composed temperament. Initial training is delivered online, followed by further detailed support from the Chief Examiner. The role is subject to RSCM Safer Recruitment procedures, including an Enhanced DBS check.

If you believe you have the skills and experience required, please email [email protected] for more information.
