WELCOME

I always find working with young people an energising experience. What hope they bring us!

Have you seen that we are looking for the next Director of our newly renamed RSCM Youth Choir? If you, or someone you know, might be interested, take a look at the details by clicking here. This is our flagship training programme for young people (find out more about the choir and how to join here), but we are keen to enable much more of this work at a local level.

As you read on, you will discover new initiatives we are developing to help churches everywhere engage with young people through singing. We all have a part to play in this!

A SEASON TO SING
OFFICIAL LAUNCH

A Season to Sing is a choral reimagining of Vivaldi’s enduring set of violin concertos, The Four Seasons, first published 300 years ago in 1725. RSCM composer Joanna Forbes L’Estrange has rearranged the four concertos for SATB choir and organ, weaving into Vivaldi’s much-loved melodies texts from poetry and the Bible on the themes of spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

The Official Launch Concert will take place at St Bartholomew the Great, London, on Saturday 22 March. Click here for more information and to book.

There will also be an opportunity to join a Come & Sing led by Joanna at St Thomas on the Bourne, Farnham, on Saturday 15 March. Click here for more information and to book.

AND FINALLY...

We are often asked where to find funding for restoring organs. For those connected to the Church of England, did you know that there is a newly expanded £5 million grants programme now open for applications? These grants can fund the conservation of special objects, including organs (and much more!) in churches.
