'You can go faster on your own, but further together'

2026 is shaping up to be a really good year at the RSCM – you’ll find lots of exciting news below. But it’s not really about us; it’s about you, and how we support everyone who plays a part in church music, whether as participant or supporter.

We hope you’ll engage actively with us throughout the year, so that together we can go that little bit further. Scroll down to begin your 2026 journey with us.

RSCM SPRING CONFERENCE 2026

We look forward to welcoming you to our 2026 Conference, to be held at our home base, Sarum College in Salisbury, on 24–25 April.

You are especially welcome if:

  • You are interested in church music
  • You lead or participate in church music
  • You plan or lead services that use music
  • You see music as a vital part of the present and future life of the Church
  • You would like to meet others who share your interest and passion
  • You would like to meet the RSCM staff team who support church music and musicians everywhere

Make a whole weekend of it - or join us just for Saturday. Salisbury is a wonderful place to visit, and our home base at Sarum College offers comfortable accommodation (available on a first-come, first-served basis). A range of other accommodation options is also available nearby.

Full details and booking are available here.

MUSIC SUNDAY

Save the date!  Music Sunday 2026 will take place on Sunday 14 June.

Music Sunday is, as always, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the work, dedication and talents of all those associated with church music and to raise funds for your church and the work of the RSCM.

Why not put it in the church diary now?

Our top suggestion for 2026 is to hold a Come & Sing service. Fitting with our theme of Community, this is a wonderful way of bringing singers and listeners into the church and can be a useful tool for recruitment.

Resources will be coming over the next couple of months so do keep an eye on the website. These will include a suggested music list.
